This is such a powerful and touching message. That little girl is serving with such a huge heart. We could all stand to be a little more like her, every day, in every way, as we remember that “they need lots of hugs to get through this” applies to others around us that we meet every day. What a huge heart in such a tiny girl. Thanks for sharing Lyn-Dee!

Hi Lyn-Dee, Our boxes arrived today safe and sound. As much as I am itching to see her open them I would like to wait until Christmas morning to give the girls this wonderful gift. They are not expecting to see very many presents under the tree so imagine their surprise when they see what you have blessed them with! I will be sure we video tape the whole thing for you and should be able to email it to you after they open everything )

I can hardly wait to see her little face when she receives this wonderful gift! When I was doing our budget for December and I realized that we only had about $50.00 to spend on Christmas gifts I sat down with the girls to have a little heart to heart. I explained to them how very blessed we were to have each other and to be near our family through the holidays and that there were other children who didn’t even have that much. We decided to bless another child with a gift even though that meant the girls would not be receiving a gift from me this Christmas. To my surprise they took it to the next level! They went in their room and carefully selected gifts for each of their cousins and friends out of their own toys. I am so proud of the spirit of giving my babies have adopted and I really believe that it will give them a better appreciation of the gifts that they are given.

The girls know about that Santa guy (as they call him) and they play along for other kids….

They have been taught the story of Baby Jesus and celebrating His Birthday on Christmas Day and how He gives gifts to others because the biggest gift is joy in your heart.

So based on that I have written this for them when they open their gifts.

Baby Jesus will celebrate His Birthday on Christmas Day.
It makes Him so happy when He catches children doing things that help others when they are sad and need help.
YOU HAVE BEEN CAUGHT….. GOOD JOB.
You have touched the heart of others when they were sad in “The Caring Place” and you gave to the “Angel” on the Christmas tree….
You touch the heart of Jesus when you help and listen to your Momma too and you love on your sisters and family.
Baby Jesus is very proud of you and the love you share.
He has some special friends who heard about your love and they want to share something special with you.
They heard about your giving heart and how you want to share the true meaning of Christmas…..
They thought these gifts would bring you joy and put big smiles in your hearts.
